Holiday & Watersports Club for active Kids – Book for 2022
We aim to provide a rich and varied programme during the School term time & Holidays. These sessions will offer the opportunity for kids to try a variety of watersports, including sailing & windsurfing.
Our programme is run by our experienced and friendly instructors who are RYA qualified and experts in their field. Led by Phil, our Watersports Manager, who has been an instructor for over 18 years and has a vast knowledge of teaching in a fun and creative way.
We hold holiday club during the following holidays:
Easter / May half term / Summer Holiday / October half term
Pathway to Sailing
At Midland SC we welcome young sailors and juniors who want to become sailors. We are part of the RYA’s OnBoard Programme, which aims to introduce youngsters to this fascinating sport. As part of this we are running regular sessions throughout the week, where young sailors go out on the water and practice and improve their sailing.
Throughout the OnBoard sessions we observe the juniors’ progress, and make sure they advance through the RYA Youth Scheme (Stages 1 to 4) at their own pace. During the holidays we also run dedicated training courses which enable your child to progress a bit quicker in four sessions of four hours each.
OnBoard sessions are £10 for two hours, with a 50% discount for members of Midland Sailing club. The same discount also applies to the RYA Youth Training courses, which are half price for members.

Training Courses
RYA Stage 1 (Junior)
This course is open to kids from age 8 to 10. It is aimed at total beginners who want to learn how to sail, but might not have set foot into a dinghy before. In the Stage 1 course you will learn the basics of sailing, and some practical techniques and manoeuvres.
