Racing 19th March 2005
We had 2 good races today in force 1-2 winds both with running starts so people could get to the start line in time as the wind was over the dam and it would have taken too long to get to a start at 5. We used 3 and 7 in place of 1 and 2 to avoid the usual funny wind and windless patches close to the wall when the wind is from this direction and this all made for interesting and different races. Thanks to Hilary and John for the Launch duty.

The 30+ challenge
This year we are challenging our sailing members once a month to see if we can get more than 30 boats on the water together. We didn't manage 30 this time not suprising it being rather cold and gusty - the next date should be better weather. It's the 24th of March. This month's winners of both the Scratch and Handicap Tuning Forks were Richard Dee and Nancy Gudgeon.
