The new safety boat has arrived and was launched last Wednesday evening. The 3D Tender XPRO Safety Boat, courtesy of a Sport England grant, has an aluminium hull, is 4.3 metres in length and has a maximum passenger capacity of 8 people. With the club centre console optional seating for a more comfortable driving position, the new safety boat is considerable lighter than the dory it replaces and can be launched and recovered with as little as 3 people.
The 3D Tender XPRO 430 has been specially designed to meet the requirements of Sailing Clubs and Training Centres. The strong marine-grade aluminium hull should deliver good durability that will hopefully ensure many years of problem free service. Additionally, the aluminium hull delivers exceptional weight saving benefits, allowing the boat to be launched and recovered with fewer people and has the added benefit of needing less powerful engines.
Heavily reinforced Valmex tubing, featuring additional bow protection, as well as over-sized side straking delivers durability and safety all around. Plus, the double thickness “Auto Draining” deck means that the boat will always be dry. Towing eyes are integrated into the hull and the transom is heavily reinforced, removing any possibility of damage during heavy towing.
